Continuous Hanger ™: Explained
You You might not know that gutters were once installed using nails or invisible hangers spaced every 24 inches. While these systems were fairly strong, they left long sections of aluminum gutters vulnerable to snow and ice damage. Additionally, the silicone sealant at the corners was exposed to sun damage. That’s why gutters are now installed with continuous hanger™ systems that both strengthen and seal the gutters. It’s like having hundreds of fasteners along the entire length of the gutter, each perforated to allow water to drain freely.
Rain gutters are commonly installed with spaced hangers that cause weak spots on the gutter between each hanger.
To avoid weak spots, hundreds of hangers would need to be added, but this is not a very efficient practice.
With a continuous hangerTM the rain gutters are reinforced along their entire length.
