Pictured here is one kitchen renovation where we completely gutted a kitchen in an investment property down to the studs to repair termite damage, then redesigned it to double the counter space and open it into the general living area with a “pass-through” cutout. Not only did we improve the functionality of the kitchen, but we also brightened the room up dramatically by allowing the light in from the sunny side of the house.
Would you believe that this bathroom was covered in pink tile as well as pink and silver wallpaper? Before Ferris Home Improvements came in and modernized it, this bathroom in a Newark investment property was one of the most distracting rooms for a potential buyer. Interior Door Installation
One of the most cost-effective and dramatic improvements you can make inside your home is having Ferris Home Improvements install 6-panel doors throughout your home, in place of flat-finish doors. 6-panel doors are doors with recessed “panels” or rectangular carved wood designs in a six-grid pattern, as the picture (left) illustrates. A simple, cost-effective upgrade from flat interior doors without any dimension variation to a 2-, 4-, 6-panel (most common) or 8-panel door can offer your home the dramatic modernization you’re seeking. This former breezeway connecting an investment home to its separate garage was a property eyesore and a poorly defined space. Before Ferris Home Improvements, this room had a badly water-damaged “drop” ceiling was collapsing in, little insulation, and paper thin walls with termite damage in areas. We removed the existing drop ceiling and paneling, installed and finished the drywall, and finished the room off with new trim and baseboard and a fresh coat of paint on the walls and the formerly dark-brown windows.
